International Fraud Awareness Week is observed globally in the third week of November. This year, the event takes place from November 10–November 16. The aim is to raise awareness of fraud through fraud prevention campaigns and education. Fraud is not only financial. It also includes identity theft, voter fraud, healthcare fraud, and more. Fraud is pervasive in every area of human lives, and it’s becoming more sophisticated and rewarding. Education on the other hand removes such faults from society
The Institution of Forensics and ICT Security in conjunction with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Uganda Chapter give back to their clients by offering free fraud awareness Trainings to different organizations that show interest with topics, mode and venue of choice.
Throughout the week, organizations are encouraged to take anti-fraud training and offer it to their employees. Since fraud affects large and small businesses alike, it’s essential to know your company’s fraud risk.
