Brac Uganda - Investigative Report writing training
The training gave us the right approach on how to go about investigations especially for cases that end up in court and also be able to defend the findings / facts about investigations. The training speaks to the new chapter we are heading to and open our minds on what to expect and how to go about the investigation right from start which is taking care of the 5Ws and 1H

I have added a lot of value in terms of the packaging of the investigation reports that I should be sharing with my supervisors and stakeholders and it has been more practical since it is done with the Uganda police. This should make my work better and improve on my ability to deliver more reliable reports because the training was customized to exactly what i do.

This is a state of art institute where, students' academics and welfare are well catered for. The institute in its short time of existence has been able to assemble several course facilitators/trainers who are excellent at what they are doing.
I have obtained all the necessary support during study time and the moments leading to the exams with frequent revision assignments. At IFIS, I was able to meet and interact with professionals from various backgrounds
"The experience at IFIS was more than just a relief; the lecture content is tailored to Ugandan scenarios, yet with global relevance making it easy to tussle it out with actual CFE Exam. The facilitators are well informed, and our very own from Uganda."
“I'm grateful to IFIS for the training especially the hands-on practicals in CEH. I'm a different person now with a new approach towards systems and security"-Muganzi Nicholas

IFIS has provided more than what we expected, I have been able to learn things practically, for example the key loggers and how to retrieve their scripts. When it came to security, I learnt the brokers and strongholds and how to keep the evidence so that no one tempers with it with the different kits shown to us. They taught us about the smoking gun and how you taken as a suspect when you are found with evidence
I have learnt so many things more so the security of evidence that is to be taken to court that can be secured by the use of strongholds to keep this evidence safe. I have also learnt that the most important hardware in the computer to be taken as evidence is the hard disk which should be kept very safe and I have also learnt how to get an image from the hard disk
I have learnt how to use scientific methods to determine who did something, when, how, where and why. I have also learnt the different levels of the internet for example the dark web, the deep web and the normal level that everyone use which is the internet level. I have also learnt that in security, the more you system is secure and having for functionality, the more you making it very hard to hack
I have really learnt a lot, I have learnt that forensic doesn’t only apply in the medical department but also in I.C.T. I have got to learnt that more crimes are committed in ICT other than the normal crimes and there is a need for a way to handle digital crimes in terms of money and everything. I have learnt a lot and this is something I can share, I have not remained the same and I think I have advanced in one way or another
I have learnt the basics in ethical hacking and they have showed me the operation systems to use like kali Linux and parrot. I have also learnt who to start a vulnerability scan, how to securely know who is hacking you and the pro software to use such as the Nessus, the P-MAP scan and others
